THOMPSON St Albans seeks a Chef de Partie to be an integral part of our 3 AA Rosette kitchen team

  • We were awarded our 3rd AA Rosette in September 2017, Best Restaurant for a Special Occasion in the Herts Food & Drink Awards 2017/2018,
  • Best Restaurant and Best Chef award in the Hertfordshire Life Food & Drink awards 2016/17, won the St Albans Chamber of Commerce,
  • Best Restaurant Award 2015/16, with an impressive 5/10 score in the Good Food Guide

  • Working alongside Michelin Star Status Phil Thompson, who held a star for 4 years running, prior to opening up his own restaurant 4 years ago
  • £23-26K Basic Salary
  • Bonus, cash tips and TRONC / service charge on top
  • Closed Sunday night, Monday all day & Tuesday lunch time, with an additional day off each week

Responsibilities of Chef de Partie:

  • Assisting the team in running their sections to the highest standards
  • Willing and enthusiastic to learn all sections in time
  • Maintain standards befitting of a 3 AA Rosette Restaurant
  • Ordering, daily prep
  •  Weekly planning of section, stock rotation, assist with monthly stock take
  • Ideas for weekly set menu and specials, costing of dishes, ideas for seasonal menus

Requirements of Chef de Partie:

  • Friendly, enthusiastic, hardworking nature, honest, committed and reliable with a positive working attitude
  • You will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Michelin Star or 2/3 AA Rosette kitchen,
  • Basic hygiene, health and safety qualifications
