Location:            Field Based (Worcestershire)

Salary:                 £25K - £35K + Benefits

My client is a well-established Foodservice business who have a fantastic reputation for their top-quality products and level of service which they provide to a number of different sectors.

They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. The successful Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing existing clients and winning new business across the Worcestershire region, being proactive to ensure targets are met whilst boosting the company profile across the region.

This is the perfect role for ambitious Business Development Managers who are looking to take the next step in their career and join a reputable business who can match their ambition and offer genuine progression opportunities.

They will also consider entry level candidates who come from a Chef or Telesales background, who display genuine passion for the food industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Proactively searching for, identifying, and realising good business opportunities.
  • Further developing customer partnership, negotiations, trade terms, joint business planning, logistical conditions, integrated business planning (financial & supply forecasts), profitability selling at strategic level.
  • Develop, maintain, and proactively extend strong network of relationships externally and internally to understand and predict customer opportunities and needs.
  • Contribute to internal strategy, values, vision, brand guidelines and current go-to-market plans.
  • Contribute to overall development of team and colleagues, as well as company brands.
  • Key structured approach, working in close loop teams to make sure company achieves.

The Ideal Business Development Manager Candidate:

  • Must have field sales experience, ideally within the food & beverage sector.
  • Should be passionate about foodservice and FMCG.
  • Have strong category knowledge.
  • Ideally have a strong network of contacts which can offer new employer.
  • Strong management, IT and communication skills.
  • Be able to thrive in high pressure situations.
