Sous Chef – Modern Brasserie | £20.30 per hour

Wednesday to Sunday service

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. If you've built your career in a quality gastro pub or fresh-food environment and take pride in delivering exceptional dishes, this is an exciting opportunity to join a modern brasserie where quality, sustainability, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do.

Working Pattern

• Wednesday to Friday: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
• Saturday & Sunday: Breakfast and lunch service

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen.
• Preparing and presenting consistently high-quality dishes.
• Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene, and stock control standards.
• Assisting with menu development, daily specials, and seasonal events.
• Leading by example and helping create a positive, supportive kitchen culture.
• Bringing fresh ideas and contributing to continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• At least 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a gastro pub, modern British restaurant, premium casual dining venue, or similar fresh-food operation.
• Strong culinary skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good knowledge of food safety, stock management, and sustainable kitchen practices.
• A positive, hands-on attitude with strong communication and leadership skills.
• A genuine passion for fresh food and delivering outstanding guest experiences.
